Warranty Coverage
Most products supplied by SA Scooter Shop include a 6-month limited warranty unless otherwise specified.
The warranty period begins on the date of dispatch or collection.
Warranty assistance relates to faults that arise during normal intended use of the product and is subject to inspection and verification by SA Scooter Shop.
Battery Warranty
Batteries are consumable components and their lifespan depends heavily on usage, charging habits and operating conditions.
For this reason batteries carry a 90-day warranty from the date of purchase.
Battery performance may be affected by charging practices, storage conditions, rider weight, terrain and environmental conditions.
Battery failures resulting from improper charging, deep discharge, water exposure, long-term storage without charging or use of non-approved chargers are not covered.
Owner Responsibilities
Powered mobility products require reasonable care and routine maintenance.
Owners are responsible for regular checks including:
• tightening bolts and fasteners
• maintaining tyre pressure
• checking electrical connections
• proper battery charging and storage
• basic mechanical adjustments where required
Failure to maintain a product appropriately may affect warranty support.
Proper Use
Products must be used in accordance with their intended purpose and operating guidelines.
Damage resulting from misuse, racing, stunt riding, off-road use, water exposure, accidents, overloading or unauthorised modification is not covered by warranty service.
Product Performance
Electric mobility equipment performs according to manufacturer specifications under controlled conditions.
Actual performance may vary depending on rider weight, terrain, gradients, tyre pressure, battery condition, weather conditions and general operating environment.
Variations in real-world performance do not indicate a fault.
Product Suitability
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the product selected is suitable for their intended use and environment prior to purchase.
SA Scooter Shop provides product specifications and guidance to assist customers in selecting appropriate equipment.
Suitability concerns relating to terrain, gradients, driveway conditions, transport compatibility, distance expectations or personal preference do not constitute product faults.
Reporting Product Concerns
Customers must notify SA Scooter Shop of any product concerns within 7 days of delivery or collection.
Notification must be submitted in writing. Acceptable written communication includes:
• email
• WhatsApp message
• support ticket submitted through our website
Verbal communication will not be considered sufficient notification.
Concerns raised after the 7-day notification period will be handled through the standard service and warranty process.
Service & Warranty Procedure

Products must be delivered to an SA Scooter Shop branch or authorised service location unless otherwise arranged.
Where reasonably possible, customers are responsible for returning the product.

SA Scooter Shop reserves the right to charge:
• diagnostic inspection fees

Customers will be notified of applicable charges prior to the return of the product.
Product Returns
Due to the nature of powered mobility equipment and ride-on vehicles, products that have been assembled, ridden, driven or otherwise used are considered accepted by the purchaser.
SA Scooter Shop does not accept returns of products that have been placed into use, except where required in terms of applicable consumer protection legislation.
Restocking / Depreciation Fee
Where a return is accepted, MobilityScooters.co.za reserves the right to apply a restocking or depreciation fee of 20% of the purchase price.
This fee reflects the loss in value once equipment has been handled, prepared for sale, inspected or returned to stock.
The application of this fee is at the discretion of SA Scooter Shop and will be determined after inspection of the returned equipment.
