hoverboard and scooter friendly parks

Are you looking for a cool spot to take the kids scooting or maybe ride your hoverboard? We know that this can be challenging sometimes, especially when the usual spots are crowded with pedestrians, runners and people lunging around; making it hard to ride freely or perfect those tricks.

We’ve compiled a list of parks and designated areas to freely ride scooters and hoverboards in and around Cape Town.

First up though: Rules & Safety

A few of the places that we mention are for the most part skateparks, so if you plan on visiting one with your kid, make sure you know the rules.

Hot Tip: Maybe visit a few times just to watch. Talk to some of the skaters (and or their parents if they are there) to learn the rules. Once your kid is hip to the rules, have fun!
